Wyndham Stars on the Bastion
July each year. 2017 date yet to be announced.
Boots, hats, and guitars. The Wyndham Stars on the Bastion is a country music hoe down like no other, atop the magnificent Bastion Five Rivers Lookout - quite possibly the greatest lookout in Australia.
Held in July each year, the Stars on the Bastion has featured country music greats including Adam Brand, Sara Storer, Morgan Evans, The McClymonts, and is MC'd by Chocolate Starfish frontman Adam Thompson. Accompanied by a hearty 3 course meal, and guaranteed a brilliant night out, we recommend purchasing tickets early to avoid missing out.
Wyndham Races
August each year
The Wyndam Ladies Day will held on Saturday 12th August 2017 and The Wyndham Cup on Saturday 19th August 2017.
A major fixture in the North West events calendar the Wyndham races encompass everything that a bush race round should be. Fillies and frocks, bow ties and thongs, and the greatest backdrop of a race track around, the Wyndham races brings people from across the country. Following the Wyndham Cup, the Wyndham Race Ball continues well into the night with live music and Two-Up.
Beyond the Bastion Brown Water Classic Fishing Comp
April long weekend.
The Brown Water Classic is an annual fishing comp allowing entrants to fish anywhere 'Beyond the Bastion', which may include any one of the eight rivers in the Cambridge Gulf, countless creeks and islands, and that's just in a boat. On land is no disadvantage with the new Athon's Landing (producing the 2012 prize winning Catfish), billabongs and the King River which has a history of producing big Barramundi!
